Our Lady of Fatima first appeared to three shepherd children in Fatima, Portugal on May 13, 1917. When people found out that the children saw Mary, many did not believe them. The children asked Mary to send them a miracle so that people would believe them.
As promised, on October 13, 1917, a miracle occurred when the sun appeared to dance in the sky! We remember the Feast of Our Lady of Fatima on May 13th. On this day, we remember the message of Our Mother, which is to pray the rosary every day and to sacrifice our hardships for the souls in purgatory.
