Natural Wood Nativity Scene with Bark | Stylized Cave Nativity

The work is carved from a longitudinal section of a tree trunk, retaining the evocative outer bark that enhances its organic and wild character. On the smooth and polished inner surface, the artisans of Val Gardena have carved in low relief an essential Nativity scene.

The stylized figures of Mary, Joseph, and Baby Jesus, lying in the manger, are enclosed in a hut topped by a guiding star. The entire composition is flanked by stylized trees that evoke the natural environment and the winter season.

This nativity scene is hand-carved in Maple Wood, chosen for its fine grain and excellent performance in precision carving. The natural wood finish, without added paints or colours, allows the warm tones of the wood to express all their beauty, transforming a piece of nature into an eternal symbol of faith.
