This icon is richly crafted in a medieval, baroque style. The bronze is enamelled with blue, green and red, for the halos of the two characters, the background and the frame.
A baroque style shown in the interlacing and volutes which decorated with great finesse, with the addition of bas-relief effects. Writings and iconographic abbreviations slip discreetly around the Virgin and the Child. The halos are decorated like crowns.
Beautiful representation of the Virgin and Child through which the love and tenderness of Jesus and Mary are felt.
