Crucifix of St. Peter's Basilica

This expertly sculpted replica of a 700 year old crucifix conveys the deep religious devotion of its time through attention to detail and raw, realistsic emotion. For centuries, this much venerated work was neglected, until now, after more than a year of meticulous restoration, it is fully restored and on display in St Peter's Basilica in Rome.
